The purpose of these insurance policies is to provide stockbreeders and aquiculturists with an instrument to protect them from any possible accidents and diseases that could harm their livestock.
These insurance policies have benefits for all, both stockbreeders and individuals. santalucia provides you with every means to sustain revenues and to modernise and develop the stockbreeding industry.
According to the needs of the stockbreeding industry, santalucia provides the following types of insurance:
- Farm insurance for cattle, sheep and goats, horses, pigs and poultry.
- Apiculture insurance.
- Insurance that covers damages owing to drought in pasturelands.
- Trout piscifactory insurance.
- Marine aquiculture insurance for sea bream, corvina, gilthead, sea bass and turbot.
- Marine aquiculture insurance for mussel production.

Animal Carcass Removal Insurance. In order to comply with Animal Healthcare Regulations.
santalucía provides an Animal Carcass Removal and Destruction insurance which covers the collection and transport of dead animals which have to be taken to the Regional Autonomous Governments? incineration facilities.
These insurance policies are meant to compensate stockbreeders for the cost of the removal and destruction of dead animals from the farms.
This is the only product line that offers the possibility to take out renewable policies.
Aquiculture insurance.
According to the needs of the aquiculture industry, santalucía provides the following types of insurance:
In any case, it should be taken into account that the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs and the Insurance Compensation Consortium have established that no extraordinary aids or benefits will be granted to lessen damages or catastrophes caused by risks included under Farm and Livestock Insurances.
